Good books for Network+ and Linux+?

Contrary to the site's URL, I'm actually not looking to take the cert for these two, I'm just looking for decent books to give me a better understanding of Networking and general Linux knowledge. I have a smattering of knowledge in both areas, but I am hoping to at least broaden it a bit more so that I feel a little better about my skills and a little more "Well rounded" when it comes to computing and infrastructure as a whole.
So, anyone have some good books (not really study guides, but will take those suggestions as well) for these two certifications that I won't actually be certifying on?
Thanks!

Linux+ is less good. It attempts to cover a huge breadth, a lot of which isn't entirely relevant to Linux in the real world. There's also the problems in trying to cover multiple Linux distro's, where most people will only deal with one or two flavours at a time. You are probably better served heading over to linuxacademy.com.
The go to book for Linux administration is the "UNIX and Linux System Administration Handbook". It's also the kind of book you can dip into for a particular problem, solution, technology, concept.2017 Goals - Something Cisco, Something Linux, Agile PM -
