    If you either have an old computer laying around or the ability to run a VM, my suggested study guide would be to download Ubuntu or Mint as a starting point. Go through any of the top books on Amazon (or recommended here when others respond) and following along in real-time with the Linux distribution of your choosing. Making it real will help it stick in your head

    The notes on this site are great. Use those. notes are just quick references to something you have already learned. I learned most with CBT nuggets and following along in my VM of CentOS. I would recommend getting a good book and as you read the text, test the commands as you go. Then refer to the notes and it will refresh your memory.
