What's your background and what exactly do you want to do in security?

I would skip the CEH, IMO it's not worth 600$ plus annual fees. You can always read the material but I'd skip the exam.

It sounds like you are interested in Network security, correct me if I'm wrong. I would study the Sec+ material and then tackle the CCNA/NP Security certs. The problem I have with any CCxx cert is how heavily focused they are on how CISCO does things and not necessarily the rest of the world. AS mentioned, the CEH probably isn't worth the money, go for something like the ECPPT or OSCP.

I don't have a background in security or in IT at all.currently I'm in army and the all I do is with switches and routers but the world of hacking and security always interested me.
    what do you think ?
and the OSCP cover the concepts in CEH ?
so you recommended OSCP -> CISSP OR CCNA/CCNP Sec?
