CISSP vs CISSP Associate Exam

Is there a difference between the exams? From my research, the ONLY difference is submitting your endorsement after you reached 5 years. Am I correct?

Yes, you are correct. You are taking the same exam. When registering for CISSP exam via Pearson Vue, you are given the option to indicate if you are taking exam as Associate.
