Moving into Infosec from SysAdmin

I am really wanting to move into the Infosec field, especially that of an analyst. Please note that I currently work in Sydney.

I am currently doing a systems administrator role and I am trying to figure out how I can adjust my resume to match that of the requirements of a typical infosec analyst role.

Some of the things I currently work with
Windows OS
Active directory
Microsoft Exchange
Windows DHCP server
Backup using ArcServe (I usually just monitor, I have not had a restore request seeing my office is a small office)
Monitoring through Nagios (just monitoring)
RSA token administration and distribution

I am looking to study for CISSP and take the exam at the end of the year (I believe there is a December sitting). But until then, If I wanted to get my foot in the door in terms of an actual role. Would me getting a Security+ (which I plan to take in two weeks time) and also a SSCP aid me for now? A lot of the jobs out there require the bigger ISC2 certifications like CISA CISM and CISSP. I don't see Security+ being much regarded here, but I would like to get a few entry level certificates in the field while I wait to sit the big exam and hopefully get in the field before I sit the exam (work experience should help greatly with my CISSP exam).

Any contribution and advise from resume planning to just find a way in the door would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks guys

Look at the security certifications forum, similar questions have been answered before. I dont know what is desired i. Sydney, but in general you should focus your efforts on certs for the position you want. Most analyst positions are going to want CEH and/or GCIA. But you sould look at the positions and see what they want.
