Should I pursue a cert in A+?

I just got promoted from desktop to network admin, but I still need to get certs. Should I go for A+ even though I do not plan on working as a desktop coordinator(like I was before) and study for network + instead?

Might be a good thing to have, then again the tests are $400.00 total

It's always good to have certs on your profile, especially the A+ as, despite it being an entry cert, shows that you have the knowledge and understanding of basic computing technologies and know how to troubleshoot them. It can also aid you in pursuing other certs in the future like the Net+/Sec+ or other vendors like Cisco and Microsoft.

Just get both. It's a worthy investment.
