Windows license expiration question?

Hi, i downloaded a Server 2012 evaluation license a couple of months ago that lasts for 180 days, i think i have about 3 ish months left with it and about 10-15 days left on a Windows 8 copy as well.
I was wondering what are my options and is there anyway i can keep these copies after the expiry date has passed?

So for the DC i have at the moment, when it expires there's no other way without wiping off everything i have on it currently?
I have no where to back it up to, so that's out the window.
So just a reinstall of the OS?
