I have taken over a role with alot of troubleshooting involved. I feel like I have a decent grasp on help desk roles, but does anyone have any good tips and tricks for windows help desk?
I mostly use the following:
GUI: C panel, MMC, RDP, active dir
Command Prompt: netstat, ipconfig, ping/tracert, system info, msinfo32

Troubleshooting tools, depends on what type of troubleshooting you want to do. You can get a lot done from Computer Management also

Look up Systems Internals. Buy the book and be happy.
