DSU MSIA Program

Hey all,
I've been considering starting a Doctorate in Cyber/IA and I have been leaning heavily in favor of going to Capitol Technology Universities DSc program. After speaking to several of their current students and graduates via LinkedIn I have decided to pursue a MSIA first.
I already have a B.S. in IT, an MBA and various INFOSEC certs (see left) however from speaking to those in the program they have told me the Doctorate is highly specialized in the sense that you pick one topic and that is what you eventually master through your research and writing. For that reason, I am going to pursue the MSIA from DSU first because my employer is willing to pay for it, it only takes 1.5 years and it would give me a technical Master's degree and further solidify my knowledge of the career field before hyper-specializing with the Doctorate.
I also have a 2 year old and 2 month old, so I figure waiting a couple more years to begin the Doctorate program might be wise and more realistic.
I'm looking for anyone currently in DSU's program or who has graduated from it recently. It seems to have a solid reputation based on the forum, and is a NSA/DHS CAE, not to mention super affordable.
Any feedback would be appreciated!

NetworkNewb Member Posts: 3,298 ■■■■■■■■■□I got an intern in my department that is going to be going for the MSIA next year... And another person in my department graduated from DSU... I have only heard good things from anyone that went to DSU. I want to say there is a guy named "philz" on here that graduated with their MSIA from there. (could be wrong, I was once before...) Would have to search the forums though.
I've been debating on going there for my MSACS degree. Going back and forth on it though. A lot of time commitment especially with a growing family. -

Thanks, philz is actually the one person I have spoken to about their MSIA program and he did have good things to say.
I hear you on the growing family, that's why I am debating pursuing the DSc right now, or waiting and doing the MSIA first to push it back a couple of years until the kids aren't quite as young.. Not sure which would be more logical!
