Should I finish my MCDST?

in MCDST
I have 70-271 under my belt and I made it about half way through the prep-book for 70-272. The reason why I'm contemplating whether or not I should finish MCDST is because I'm planning on going back to school for a masters in comp science, along with swinging for some programming specific certs. I don't plan on returning to the IT field as a technician.
So what's the consensus?

Assuming an IT technician was your first plan and it changed, there is no guarantee your second plan will not change either. I would finish it. -

I totally agree that since your half way there you might as well finish it. -

Software programming was my first plan and I branched out into the IT field partially as an experiment. Going back into programming means getting back to my roots.

I probably studied less for the MCDST than Network+. That was largely due to the fact that I worked with desktops on a daily basis.
With that being said, definitely finish the cert. It can't hurt, and can only help should you become fried out with coding.
