Currently working as a desktop support technical associate which is basically level 2. I have my a+ and I'm working on my mcsa:windows 10. What's a good certification route for systems engineering?

You're going to need a balance of network and OS management. The only one cert I can think of that is close would be the CASP.

Type in "Systems Engineer" along with your Zip code into Indeed.com and look at what the market is demanding in your area...
