confusions about Distance Vector Loop Prevention techniques !

in RIP and EIGRP, Split Horizon rule is very clear,


Poison Reverse, I do understand the process, but did not understand what is the benefits over Split Horizon, all the document just say advertise the route over same interface which it was learnt from but with infinite metric.


Route poisoning says something close to Poison Reverse,


can someone please clarify these terms with me ?
