Hi,

My CCNA routing and switching certificate expired recently. Now I have a new job related to networking and I want to enhance my skills. I want to do CCNP but i heard that i need to retake the exam of ccna. Can somebody please suggest me what is the best possible solution for this situation? Is it tru that I need to retake the ccna exam?

Valid Cisco CCNA Routing and Switching certification or any Cisco CCIE certification can act as a prerequisite.

Unless I am misunderstanding your situation, yes, you will have to resit the exam in order to requalify for the CCNA. Which by the way shouldn't take long to complete. I let my first CISSP lapse thinking I'd never leave the place I was at for 15 years. Now, my CISSP number is plus 300,000 from which I began.

    That smarts.
