why does a printer get hot

Hi everyone!
My question is why does a paper and a printer get hot after printing...

    I assume you mean a laser printer. The paper goes through the fuser, after the toner has been laid on, and the heat roller "fuses" the toner to the paper.

    (Simple answer to a rather complex process.) The fuser heats up to around 250 degrees or higher, depending on the model, applications )color, draft, photo, etc). Like a PC, there is a need for cooling in a printer - I've seen a lot crap out because the fans get clogged or quit working, and are not repaired.

    if you are talking about an impact or inkjet printer, the motor for the paper transport can get warm during operation.
