Software similar to Fluke Etherscope

Anybody know of Software similar to Fluke Etherscope for a PC or MAC?

    What functions from the etherscope are you trying to duplicate? If you're just looking for something that would tell you the port and name of a switch that a network drop connects to, you could use wireshark.

    I don't know a whole lot about wireshark, but I bet any information the etherscope gets by analyzing packets/frames could be gleaned using wireshark.

    On the other hand, I think some of the things the Fluke provides info on would require specialized hardware and no software program would be able to duplicate it without similarly specialized hardware designed to perform those tasks.

    Thanks, I figured I would have to use that. Just need the port number and the vlan info is a bonus. Some of the older offices I go to do have any information in them it so bad I have trace console port information sometimes.
