I live in LA, and getting into the IT field. Where can I take the certificate? Is it online, school place or can it be taken at either one?

You'll need to find an authorized testing center. You can't take the exam online. Check CompTIA's website for more info.

How many months of studying would it take to pass this test? Or is there another easy cert I should take instead?

Hey EDD264, most certs are going to depend a lot on a person's study ethics. I believe the A+ forum threads have details of people's success stories. Check those out for sure when you get time.GL
