So i had worked as a System Admin for about 3.5 years. part of my duties were firewall management, active directory, group policy, user account creation/deletion, file permissions, updates/patching, anti-virus, as well as general sys admin stuff. my current role i have been at for 1.5 years. i work on the vulnerability remediation team, scanning servers and remediating any findings. i also have a B.S. degree so only need 4 years of experience to qualify.
so will ISC2 count my 3.5 years as a system admin as security experience? i emailed them and asked but got a response saying to take the test and submit the application. has anyone had similar experience and had ISC2 accept that?

I don't see why they wouldn't...but if they don't, you are already working in InfoSec so you would just have to get the remaining 2.5 years within 6 years and already have the hard part done (completing the exam).
