Anyone have any experience with Geeks on Call?

I had an interview with one today and it seemed like an interesting job at first but then they got into how you basically have to do a lot of their marketing. You get commision for selling-up (convincing the customer to buy more RAM, extra hard drive, service agreement etc.) on a service call and are suppossed to go in and cold call businesses. That definitely set off some warnings with me.

I guess they were around before the Geek Squad. It's a franchise business with the central headquarters in Virginia.

Our Tier 2 assistant manager used to work for Geeks on Call. I believe that he setup cisco wirless (Linksys) and performed other computer related tasks. He never talked bad about this job.Network/Radiation Oncology Analyst III
