20 week Cisco Course and Community College

I was thinking about taking this course at a local community college, due to everyone saying how long it took them to pass the CCNA and how hard the tests are. It is a 20 week course, but knowing myself and the time I have to study I really feel like I could have it complete on my own faster and cheaper. Not sure though as I really don't have much experience in this area. Maybe I will wait and see how I feel after I take my net+ at the end of the month.

Share your thoughts please. Thanks.

I'd say in your case you probably don't need the CC course. You could put that money toward a lab instead. Netacad it great for those 1. with no prior experience or knowledge 2. for those that need the CC credits anyway 3. possibly making connections*

    * I know of one guy who got an interview (not sure if he got the job) because of someone he met was also taking the course for work. Actually at least two people who got interviews for another job besides that, though for that job I'm thinking of, it was part time.

Point being it's good for people who haven't gotten a job yet and are at entry level. IIRC from another thread you already work in the industry. So I wouldn't bother with the time and money. That said if you enjoy a class room learning experience it can still be great.
