Microsoft MTA Exams?

Hey guys,
I've only recently noticed the Microsoft MTA exams. Seems like these are a perfect alternative to Comptia exam. Anyone have experience here? Curious what the over all "vibe" of the exams are? I see they have not been updated in sometime. Are they be canceled?

From what people have told me when I asked about them, the comptia ones are the way to go as they are vendor-neutral. I had thought about it but I am just doing the comptia trio and then im going to get MCSA after that just to have a MS OS cert
