WDS - Capturing question

Hey guys,

So every time I capture a sysprep VM and upload the image to WDS there is always 2 copies of this image under WDS -> install images -> image group.

If I drill down the e:\remoteinstall\images\imagegroup

I see 3 files.

1) res.rvm
2) nameofimage(1).wim
3) nameofimage.wim




Does anyone know why this behavior happens? I spent a good chunk googling this but didn't find an answer. I can disable/delete the smaller file and experience no issues but I would like to understand why this is happening.

Figured it out! For those who are curious

In the capture wizard in the "new image location" section I was saving a copy of the .wim in the reminst folder as well as uploading the image to wds!

So it was doing double the work essentially!

Going to keep deploy a test image but I think I got it
