Test prep

I'm going to use the resources at FedVTE to get prepared for the A+ certification. The videos on there appear to be from a class that people paid for. Would anyone that has taken the class in any way also recommend getting the book? I mean is it a situation where doing all of my studying from the lecture alone would just get me a passing grade or would I get high marks?
