Cleaning monitors

Text books seem to avoid cleaning sections, my exam is in the morning and i was wondering what can be used to:

a)clean and lcd(one practice exam said to usealcohol, is this true?), some things state only use dry cloth.

b) clean a CRT.

I'd use a clean dry cloth on both. I'm pretty sure alcohol is pretty much the worst thing to put on an lcd.

On an LCD, use nothing, just a lint free cloth. On CRT, I use a special dust spray made for electronics. If an LCD has a bad smudge, I might apply some spray to the cloth and wipe. Never actually spray on the screen, if it runs down too far, you could kill the screen.
