Do you really need to know other systems?
sleemie
I'm thinking of taking a boot camp course and in the objectives they said something about it's for people familiar with systems other than MS, such as novel, linux, etc.
I work in a microsoft/cisco environment and that's all I know, would you still recomment this certification?
I'm currently working on my CCNA, and I've got the old NT 4.0 MCSE.

After studying for this exam, I actually look at Security in a different way. Now I fully understand why Security is a hot topic.
I think everyone that works in IT should take this exam.

Security+ is vendor neutral, so yes you need to understand the basics of other systems (I assume you mean other than Microsoft).
