Extraneous skills on resume?
Techytach
So I'm trying to get a job at a NOC or something similar. I have learned some C# and have a github with my projects. Its not directly related, but it does show I could pick up any scripting languages that might be needed for automation fairly easily. Is this something I should add to resume under a separate skills section or put it with my CCNA under skills and certifications? Or leave off resume and try to bring up in interview?

If it's directly related to the job, put them in. If they're good at showing hobbies (which some hiring people like to see), put them in, just don't go crazy. short & sweet. Don't clutter up the goods.

Good for resume, excellent to bring up during interviews. I also suggest picking up Ansible skills for network device configuration management or an alternative tool. Its going to give you a leg up on the competition, since you will be able configure multiple devices at once (even pull multiple configs at once) while another person only knows how to configure one network device at a time.
