Security related Projects

Hello guys,

I'm looking to get some practical experience to better my ability for Information Security. Is there any place on the web (or publication) that
has guides on completing Information Security projects for small or medium sized businesses. I'm talking specifically about Business Continuity planning part of InfoSec however any areas you know of will do as well.
