Learning subnetting
sub-zero
Guys,
I know the answer could have many variables, however if you were new to subnetting who out of the following would you start with.
Books: Odom or Lammle
Or
CBT Jeremy videos.
I'm currently going through Odoms book, But it's alot of information to take in, Lammles version seems to feels alot shorter.
Is it case of Odom going into alot of detail to get the same points across?
Cheers

Jeremy, subnetting is a lot easier to learn if taught "live".

Once you understand the basics, try this:

This is an old post, but this method works every time. It was easier for me to pick up then some of the other methods. Using this method along with a basic chart that I wrote down on the whiteboard made subnetting the easy part of the exam.
But, each to their own. All of the methods get you to the same answer.

I highly recommend you spend an hour with this practice site. You won't know the answers at first but since it gives you the correct answer you can start to understand what they are asking pretty quickly.
