Hello all, I have recently moved from a technical support role into a software/business analyst role. I am wondering if their are any recommended certifications for project/procedural/analyst type work. Something other than Project+ that I may have not have heard of. I would like something that could help me see the big picture on projects and help mitigate through issues, and deal with mgmt.
I am no longer supporting any Microsoft products or any PC/Server equipment. The applications I am over do not have certs or learning etc.
Just figured I would check.
Thank you.

This isn't a bad one. It covers the Agile Buzz words that you might find in HR job requirements and it provides a lot of good content. I never took the exam but I read the book and I learned quite a bit. In fact as a Senior BA I use a lot of the information provided from this framework. I also studied the PMP and CAPM and that information is less useful, it's more of a waterfall approach and real world doesn't work that way, at least from my perspective.
CBAP is great if you want to become a principal consultant it will really provide a lot of good information, but like the CISSP and PMP it requires several years of service, there is a baby brother to it the CCBA but that one doesn't have as much punch AKA not as requested.
If I were you I would look for something that revolves around Agile. Once you get some experience start to look at TOGAF and or SOA. Both are enterprise level frameworks that can help lead to a very nice payday.
