Has anybody been able to successfully recover files with the .aesir file extension.

Yea, pay the ransom! jk don't. The closest I've been to getting someone's local files back were from getting the user's shadow copies of the files back. Haven't seen a ransomware in awhile and heard the newer versions encrypt the shadow copies as well though.
