Question on preciseness of sims

how forgiving are they when scoring sims?
For example, let's say I have to enter configuration mode and my first attempt is "con ter" and I get the ambigious command message and then on my second attempt I enter "conf term." how will that be graded? do they consider you as getting it wrong, correct, or is it a thing where the sim may require 10 steps and they give you credit for each step you do right and not grade it as a whole as either right or wrong? Does it matter if I went with conf term or config t, so long as it works?
Another example, to configure the Ethernet 0 interface you can go with Int e0, but suppose I wasn't sure how short you could abbreviate and I wanted to be on the safe side and went with Interface Ethernet 0, would I lose any points for not abbreviating and using a more efficient syntax?

Webmaster Admin Posts: 10,292 AdminThe sims are more advanced than you expect. All the things you mentioned are not an issue at all. Read the following post and links in it for more info:

I made a gawdzillion errors (nervous keystrokes) and it still allowed me to complete it all and telnet end-to-end for verification.
PS: Use that "TAB" key and UP arrow !
