I want to say thank you for this forum. I have had such a difficult time finding solid information on VMware training and even though I still have many questions this forum has been a big help!
I am interested in getting certified VCP6-DCV ( VMware Certified Professional 6 – Data Center Virtualization ) but cannot afford the high price of training through VMware. Following links to community colleges or third party vendors provided by the vmware site has been a frustrating experience. Many links are dead or go to CC's or vendors who no longer offer the training.
#1) To those who have taken the Stanley VMware training, How long is the typical wait? Ive been on the wait list for over 2 months, Is this normal?
#2) Can anyone recommend a low cost alternative, similar to Stanley? Virtual classroom, online classes?
My employer will not pay for training and this certification will be a huge advantage for me.
Thank you in advance for any suggestions!

I would highly NOT recommnd CPCC...the material was alright, I breezed through it though. But the instructor went MIA during week 3 of our 8-week course, and he didn't return until 2 weeks AFTER the course had ended. He rushed through and gave passing grades to everyone (as far as I know), then dropped off the face of the earth.
We were promised at the start of the course a code to use to take the VCP exam, and it never came. I asked him about it twice in different emails, and he never replied.
The only upside to all of this was that it was only $300 or so, so I wasn't out THAT much. I mean, I did learn some stuff, so it wasn't a total waste. But I didn't receive the necessary credit to sit the VPC exam.
