Hi all, can anyone kindly advice as to which book is good to learn the command line, as I don't have any background knowledge in these. Thanks very much.

Select Your Product or Technology - Product/Technology Support - Cisco Systems
I assume you're looking for a router/switch config. Do something like this:
Select Products -> Switches -> Campus LAN Switches - Access -> Catalyst [Insert relevant model here] Series Switches -> Catalyst [Insert specific submodel here] Switch -> Look at documentation tab. Look for something along the lines of "Software configuration guide".
Everything you should need in there for the basics (And the more intermediate/advanced stuff). Have fun. Here's one for a 3750-X series to get you started, pulled straight from what I just mentioned:
Catalyst 3750-X and 3560-X Software Configuration Guide, Release 15.0(1)SE - Cisco
Also, if you're unsure of command syntax, using the "?" is always and will always be your best friend .
A book is good for reference, but the best way to get good at it is practice. Fix it, break it, play around with it. Just don't delete the .bin file (IOS image).:study:Reading: Lab Books, Ansible Documentation, Python Cookbook 2018 Goals: More Ansible/Python work for Automation, IPSpace Automation Course [X], Build Jenkins Framework for Network Automation [] -
