Should I get Adobe certified?

Seems to me I could make more money as a web designer/developer than a computer technician. So I'm considering this route. I'm looking for advice. I can get a book and watch videos, but I'm wondering what cert to get. Should I go with photo shop or Dreamweaver?

Spiegel Member Posts: 322 ■■■■■□□□□□I came from the graphic design/motion graphic design field so I can tell you that getting Adobe certified is honestly optional. The certs only really test your knowledge in the software, not as a designer. I've met a lot of designers and certifications aren't mentioned too much. It's cool to have but not sure if it'll help in landing you a job. My advice is to hone your skills as a web designer, master the systems and put together a killer porfolio.Degree: WGU B.S.
