How to restore tape backups in redhat enterprise AS 4?????

I need to restore tape backups in Red Hat Enterprise AS 4. Im new to Linux. Does linux have a tool like Microsofts NTBACKUP. how do i use it, how do i restore in LINUX?????????????????????????????

Basically, tar, cpio, ****, and restore are available in every distribution. These are command level tools and need some getting used to manage devices. If you wish for GUI tools, read the following HOWTO first.

I had used Arkeia before with DDS tape though, prefer above CUI tools, simple, straightfoward, and costless.
