Malware Scanner for Corporate Use?

markulousmarkulous Member Posts: 2,394 ■■■■■■■■□□
Anyone know of a free malware scanner that can be used for commercial use? ADWcleaner I think was/is free, but I was looking for another option. I've used Combofix in the past, but it seems fairly aggressive, but not sure if that's changed (I'm also not 100% sure it's free for commercial use).

Free but for end-user.. MalwareBytes. You might need a license for corporate use but I see companies use it here and there without a license - not sure. It's good quality product

We use Sophos, AVG, Winclaim, and Emsisoft, they all have free versions for commercial use, for example Emsisoft emergency kit. We are not allowed to use Malware bytes, I got a price quote for a commercial version of malware bytes, which has far more features, but the company doesn't want to spend the $, rather use free, which at times is a pain in the ass sometimes to get working right. For example Emisoft only works on Windows 7 or better, making it useless to scan XP computers. Actually I think we have a license for Emsisoft emergency kit, but it's only a few hundred dollars a year.

Yeah, Malwarebytes is great but I don't want to get dinged using it for all of our end-points without paying for it. There's some good suggestions here though, I'll try some of these after myself and legal takes a look at it
