i don't think subnetting is required for network+ other than the default subnets for the different classes. -

Although subnetting is not tested extensively on the exam it is wise to understand how it works. Out in the real world there are occasions that you will need to play with the subnetting and knowledge of how (and why) to do that is important. If they tested on all aspects of networking it would be a very long exam ... lolwww.supercross.com
