Online Learning: BS Degree worth it?

Hello,
I have been thinking about Kaplan’s Online University. Does anyone have any experience or thoughts about an online university? I just recently got my AA degree from a Kaplan owned school (2-year school). I plan on getting my Bachelors degree, and I want to get some info on online schools.
A BIG question I have would be, does a BS obtained from an online university hold the same credibility as a BS from a state university? I wonder how an employer would look at this. If anyone has any experience with online learning, I would appreciate any opinions.
Also, the school I went to was privately owned (by Kaplan), so I’m not sure about my options to pursue my BS at a state university and what credits would transfer. I know private schools, like Kaplan, will tell you anything to get you to sign up, so is online learning really worth it. If Kaplan isn’t the answer, maybe another online university, or a 4 year tech school =/ would be the answer.

If you must attend online schools, make sure it's regionally accredited by one of the six regional accreditation bodies. Kaplan is accredited by North Central Association of Colleges and Schools (NCA), which is one of the six regional accreditation bodies mentioned. Theoretically, that means if your degree is backed up by regional accreditation, your credits should be transferrable to another school of same or lesser accreditation. But you should always check with the school you are going to attend to see if they will accept all credit transfers or not.
Read this for more info on if employers will accept your degree or not:
