CompTIA Linux+, SUSE, and LPIC-1 three at once

I have found this blog post which instruct how to get 3 certificates at once. I want to pass CompTIA Linux+ certification exam and interested is this actual or outdated post?

SUSE will no longer accept the L+ as a requisite for conferment of their certification. LPIC does though, so instead of 3-for-1 it's a 2-for-1 deal.
