COBIT Foundation Exam
Hi All,
I am looking to prepare for COBIT Foundation exam but unable to find any official study guide.
Can anyone please suggest from where i can buy the guide for preparation ?
Also, I don't see any one going for COBIT instead most people go for CRISC or CISA. My understanding is COBIT will cover most of the concepts of ISACA certifications. Is this right to assume ?
Please suggest.
Thanks
V

It looks like you can register and download it as a PDF:

I've never met anyone who studied COBIT and I've worked with a lot of IT staff over the years so I think it is not very widely adopted (at least in Europe). You may get more benefit (at least in terms of resources to use and recognition from potential employers) by looking at more widely adopted methodologies. -

Knowing the part of the world you are targeting will also help as different areas have different biases. -

It seems (in Mexico) the only guys I know who use COBIT are ISACA members. Mostly guys who are IT but come from an accounting or auditing background.
I did COBIT foundations after my CISM because we had a refund from another course and the options where limited. I liked it, it has lots of structure. But if some has the option of going for the CISA or COBIT I'd recommend CISA. Heck I'd probably recommend ITIL more than COBIT, it still has a rabbid fanbase.
