I have very limited server admin experience with 2008 R2 but I'm curious what resources everyone is using. I would prefer an actual book to start with and then lab out stuff as needed but if it isn't the best option then I would consider videos and such. I just tend to learn better by reading rather than watching/listening.

1. Don Poulton's Cert Guide
https://www.amazon.com/MCSA-70-410-Cert-Guide-Configuring/dp/0789748800
2. Mastering Windows Server 2012 R2 by Minasi et al. (covers more stuff)
https://www.amazon.com/Mastering-Windows-Server-2012-R2/dp/1118289420
3. Training Guide Installing and Configuring Windows Server 2012 R2 by MS Press

Plus any good powershell starter book/video if you are not too familiar with powershell.

If you prefer E-Book, this is better option:
MCSA 70-410 Cert Guide R2: Premium Edition eBook and Practice Test: Installing and Configuring Windows Server 2012 | Pearson IT Certification
With e-book you also receive Software with 4 full practice test.
For lab I'll recommend this beautiful free tool: Pluralsight AutoLab
