Router to switch is up but switch to router is down

I had attached router-2911 to switch-2960 and switch-2960 to PC. router to switch is up but switch to pc is down. I had done all the configuration and switch to pc is up when I gave my file to my friend. In his laptop is is up but in my it is down. What is the problem?

some suggestions - post the configuration for 2960 switch and IP settings for PC.

verify switch and pc are in the same subnet
enable switch port
correct cabling
auto/auto for switch/pc
