CISM Exam Passed!

I just got back from the testing center and provisionally passed the CISM exam. Of course got the standard "official results will be emailed within 10 business days" disclaimer. Cleared the exam in 1.5 hours.

My prep consisted of ditching the review manual halfway through the first chapter and buying the QAE DB. I started with 30 question adaptive learning exams each day for about the first week or so. I spent the past week pounding away at the questions, trying to do 100-150 a day. I ended up with my overall score in the QAE DB in the mid-70s, with the 1st domain my weakest at just under 70%.

I'm definitely glad that ISACA moved to the CBT format. I'm moving on to the CISA which I'm targeting for May 31st. I'm going to get the review manual and QAE DB as my manager lets me use my corp card for them, but I'll probably just use the QAE DB and use the RM for reviewing weak areas.

First of all, congrats on the passed. So you only used the QAE database for little over two weeks but the subscription is for one year. I've heard somewhere that your access is connected to your ISACA account so it's not transferable. So can you ask for a refund for not finishing the one year subscription? Why don't ISACA offer a much shorter subscription period anyways?

I believe somewhere during checking out, there is a line that says this product is non-refundable. I would want a shorter subscription too.

They also offer a cheaper 6 month subscription.

I don't see a 6 month subscription. You can buy a 12 month subscription and a 6 month extension. However, you can't buy a 6 month subscription. You have to start with the 12 month.

Hey All,

Do you think the questions in the test were similar to the QAE DB or is that just a way to refresh all the concepts?
Are questions any wayt similar to the ISACA's free test?
