Call center to Desktop support

Hi everyone,
I just had a quick question that may have been answered elsewhere, just couldn't find it.
I have a year of solid help desk (inbound call center) experience. During that year I've handled a huge variety of stuff, supported more applications than I knew existed, and really grown as a technician. My question is how would I know if I'm ready to go for a desktop support role (reimaging, delivering hardware, repairing hardware, etc.)?
Thanks
