I was interested in taking both the CCNA R/S and CCNA Sec exams.
Would there be any issues in taking the Sec first? I was thinking to do this because it would renew my Sec+, and then passing the R/S would renew my CCNA:Sec.
My question is whether this would cause any unforseen complications? Is R/S a pre-requisite for Sec?

I don't think CCNA Sec would renew Sec+. I think most people recommend CCNA R/S before CCNA Sec so you'll have better networking skills.
