Underscore Creating Templates

Straight Question:
What is the purpose of using an underscore " _ " before naming a template?
Does it make the account useless? Or just to indentify as a template.

It's just an easy way to identify them. If you use a '_' at the beginning of a template name, then it will appear at the top of the list of users (assuming you have then sorted in order).

It doesn't perform any other function (as far as I know!).
