For CISSP you need many books/ressources. The best book depend on your current knowledge and experience. If you are a newbie into infosec start with Shon Harris's book CISSP AIO. If you have a lot of experience Eric Conrad's book are "best". However one of the best book, is Sybex ISC2 CISSP study guide. It is well regarded.
Also, remember that the ultimate source is the ISC2 CISSP CBK, so have it near to add to your reading.
Hope this help!

I posted the info below in a different thread.
CISSP Study Guide, Seventh Edition - ISC2 (2015)
Eleventh Hour CISSP Study Guide- Conrad Eric (2016) - Keypoints for Each CISSP Security Domain
And CCCure.org which is recommended by the first book.
Your ability to retain the information will determine when you are ready. Most people spend about 2 months studying.
