SEC 504 / GCIH Prep

So I took the plunge and will be taking SEC504 in a couple of months with the intention of also taking the GCIH exam. As this is a step slightly out of my wheelhouse I want to know what are some good things to study or practice with, leading up to the class. I took GSEC and scored high on it, so I can deal with technical details.
What books, OS / Linux commands, prep work would you recommend to get me up to speed so I am not caught off guard by the class?
Thanks

They walk you through most of it. Biggest thing that probably will help you, especially if you plan on doing netwars, is having a good knowledge of Linux (commands, directories, etc.). Otherwise, just have fun. -

+1 on Linux. My team missed the coin by 1 minute mostly because we had only 1 guy that was Linux heavy. Us windows guys just watched him work at some point.
