MCDST Certificaiton Question

I heard somewhere on the net that Microsoft thinks somebody who passes the MCDST to posses the knowledge that of a Tier II Help Desk Support person, is this true? And once somebody is MCDST, how well are the chances of that person getting a help desk job?

I just applied for a Tech II position for helpdesk. I was offered the job but at a pay scale that I was not happy with. I explained I would take the job if the money was within the range I stated. So yes, you can recieve a job as a Tech II position, however dont expect a lot of money.
