Hi All! I just wanted to update everyone as I've been posting on this site for the last 6 years and I've gotten great feedback from everyone. I started off struggling to find a job- it took me almost 3 years to find a job in IT. I finally landed one in 2014 as a Technical Support Specialist then I got upgraded to a Network Analyst. I left that company to take on a Financial Systems Analyst role, which is equivalent to a Business Analyst. I am now in a lead role as an IT auditor for financial systems and will be taking the CISA exam. I'm also working towards my Master in IT as my manager feels that will give me a lot of leverage. I would've never thought I would end up as an auditor as I always felt hopeless when I graduated and couldn't find a job. If you're looking for a job, Never give up! I recall someone on here suggesting that I work as an IT auditor given my background in accounting, but I always thought it was impossible. I appreciate all the encouragement I was given- I have come far!
