what do you guys think comparatively.... what has a more general purpose use and is typically more secure and or does that kind of logic apply or is it very situational?
Currently enrolling into WGU's IT - Security Program. Working on LPIC (1,2,3) and CCNA (and S) as long term goals and preparing for the Security+ and A+ as short term goals.

is it more secure because of the higher bit size and the block chain method?Currently enrolling into WGU's IT - Security Program. Working on LPIC (1,2,3) and CCNA (and S) as long term goals and preparing for the Security+ and A+ as short term goals. -

RC4 has been deemed insecure: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/3151631/rc4-cipher-is-no-longer-supported-in-internet-explorer-11-or-microsoft
AES CTR mode is considered the secure way to go.
